It’s not always easy to innovate, and as far as we know the Ukestra is the first uke group (“around these pahhtz at least”) to arrange and perform a complete 14 song TV SET of vintage television themes! Yes kids, from the days when TVs had dials on them, VHF/UHF and rabbit ears. Thanks so much to our wonderful group, and our receptive venue and audience! We were so happy and lucky to be able to perform for the opening of the new Nashua Center for the Arts on April 1st, 2023. The event was sold out, and we had the pleasure of inviting Sean McDonald of WMUR-TV, anchor and Chronicle host onstage for our songs. Truly a high point in Ukestra’s long and diverse history!
